The Regional Director of IT is responsible for managing all technology operations, systems, and IT staff within assigned White Lodging hotels in Austin and San Antonio. This role provides strategic direction, implements technology initiatives, and ensures all systems are maintained in compliance with security and operational guidelines. The ideal candidate excels at simplifying complex technical information, enabling seamless communication with hotel leadership and associates.
What You’ll Do
– Lead IT initiatives, projects, and upgrades across assigned properties.
– Manage, develop, and support property-level IT teams.
– Conduct preventative maintenance and oversee system compliance for PMS, POS, PBX, and other critical hotel systems.
– Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, including guest internet and hotel infrastructure.
– Partner with HR to manage user access and system permissions.
– Maintain detailed inventory and submit capital plans for aging technology.
– Communicate technology updates clearly and effectively to GMs, department leaders, and associates.
– Support hotel compliance by conducting timely audits and security reviews.
What You’ll Bring
– Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
– 10+ years of experience in hospitality IT, including supervisory responsibilities.
– CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Project+, or Server+).
– Proven ability to manage complex projects across multiple locations.
– Experience with Microsoft Office, Active Directory, and hotel IT environments.
– Strong organizational, diagnostic, and communication skills.
– Ability to travel 40-50% within of the time within Austin and San Antonio and perform occasional heavy lifting.
