Regional Industry Leader, Asia

We are seeking a talented individual to join the regional Career Team at Mercer in Singapore. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Regional Industry Leader will drive Mercer’s regional industry strategy, strengthening its reputation and standing as a thought leader in Talent and Rewards practices across Asia. This role involves overseeing industry initiatives, delivering high-quality insights, and engaging directly with key stakeholders and clients to strengthen relationships and develop innovative human capital solutions. Reporting to the Regional Head, Industry & Solutions, Asia, and leading a small team, the incumbent will serve as a subject matter expert, fostering collaboration across Mercer’s lines of business and external partners to position Mercer as the premier authority in HR intelligence within the industry and help client navigate talent challenges and achieve their strategic objectives.

We will count on you to:

Establish Mercer as the leading authority in specific regional industry sectors by developing and executing strategic initiatives that enhance industry insights and thought leadership.Drive the growth and evolution of Mercer’s industry-specific survey offerings and insights.Focus on key regional client relationship/engagement, which may include developing and implementing strategies to effectively collaborate with, and provide direction to the Regional Industry ForumPartner with the Career, Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB), and Market teams to identify growth opportunities, develop integrated solutions, and expand Mercer’s industry footprint.Identify opportunities to expand Mercer’s industry-specific offerings and client base.Support regional sales and marketing efforts by providing industry expertise and insightsEnsure that the Regional Industry forum relationship and the relationships with other Industry clients are managed to achieve Mercer’s financial objectives in terms of revenue and profitability.Lead the design, development, and management of regional industry surveys, ensuring high-quality, timely, and relevant data collection and reporting.Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry clients, industry associations, and internal stakeholders.Act as the primary point of contact for industry clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions and insights.Represent Mercer at industry forums, conferences, and client meetings across Asia.Develop industry-specific reports, whitepapers, and presentations to showcase Mercer’s expertise and insights.

What you need to have:

Minimum 15 years of experience in HR or related field, with a significant portion in industry-specific consulting, survey design, or market research.Proven track record of leading industry-specific initiatives, programs, or surveys at a regional or global level.Extensive experience working with senior clients and industry stakeholders across the regionDemonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive growth and thought leadership.Experience managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with internal stakeholders such as sales, marketing, survey teams, and product development.Effective verbal and written communication skillsAbility to consider all issues objectively, able to manage conflicting needs and provide the balance for the mutual benefit of key stakeholders.  Highly adaptable and scalable individual who can be hands-on while being able to think strategically or on their feet.Ability to work in a fast changing and demanding environment
