To strengthen our Access, Sustainability and Public Affairs (ASPA) department, we are looking for a talented profile to fill the position of: Regional Health Solution Lead – Milan, Italy.
About the role
Identify, create, and implement regional access solutions, focusing on mutually beneficial collaborations between UCB, the NHS, and patients. These initiatives aim to remove regional and local system barriers, ensuring improved access to UCB's portfolio and pipeline for patients.
The Regional Health Solution Lead is responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to improve access to medicines and optimize sustainable care pathways in the regional ecosystems.
You will work with
The Regional Health Solution Lead will collaborate closely with Regional Affairs Managers (RAMs) to develop and implement strategic plans aimed at improving access to medicines and optimizing care pathways within regional ecosystems. Additionally, this role will involve working with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, local health authorities, and patient organizations.
What you will do
Develop and implement regional projects aimed at improving access to medicines and supporting the work of RAMs on the groundIdentify and analyse access barriers (organizational, intake, economic, regulatory) in collaboration with the regional team and develop strategic solutionsCollaborate with the Value & RWE team (part of the same ASPA department), ensuring an integrated approach in the development of access projectsManage relationships with key stakeholders in regional ecosystems, including CEOs of health care providers, hospital pharmacy directors and other regional stakeholdersSupport prioritization of activities and internal governance, optimizing time management and participation in strategic meetingsBe responsible of developing appropriate tools and solutions to ensure RAMs are equipped, trained and supported on Market Access solutionsDevelop access tools, solutions and frameworks to allow optimal positioning of our medicines on pathways for example, support funding decisions, service changes or disease management reviewsSupporting the generation of innovative value-based contracts local and regional, and datasets that support UCB portfolio and improve patient care.

Bachelor’s, master’s degree or an education in a relevant scientific disciplinePrevious experience in market access and local account management (3-5 years in Pharma required), field experience would be preferredFluent English communication (oral and written)Demonstrate exceptional analytical and interpretative skills regarding regional and local decision-making processes and their impact on access opportunities for UCBMaintain the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring a strategic and coordinated approachExhibit strong strategic and analytical abilitiesPlan effectively at the business unit level, managing complexity with easePossess in-depth knowledge and analysis of NHS structures, processes, regional policies, funding flows, and decision-making mechanismsUnderstand how to successfully apply clinical, humanistic, and economic evidence, effectively communicating the results to support the commercialization of products across the neurology franchiseDemonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across various functionsDemonstrate a proactive and forward-thinking approachExcel in problem-solving and take the initiative when necessaryWork effectively within a multifunctional teamMake rapid decisions aligned with UCB's strategyBe results-oriented and attentive to detailDemonstrate flexibility and adaptability while maintaining focus and persistenceBe willing and able to travel as required by workload (10-20%)Are you ready to ‘go beyond’ to create value and make your mark for patients?
