**Qualifications & Experience**
**Key Accountabilities:**
+ Support the development and implementation of Health & Safety strategies, programs, and initiatives across the Gateways
+ Promote leadership, accountability, and a proactive safety culture throughout all departments
+ Conduct and review risk assessments, SOPs, and safety documentation to ensure effective controls are in place
+ Lead and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
+ Monitor and audit compliance with H&S standards, conducting inspections and performance reviews
+ Oversee contractor safety management and ensure compliance with site rules and protocols
+ Coordinate and deliver H&S training, ensuring departmental needs and competency requirements are met
+ Provide HSS guidance, coaching, and support to Gateway management teams and project managers
+ Collaborate on capital projects to ensure safety considerations are embedded throughout the project lifecycle
+ Track and analyse H&S performance data and trends to drive continuous improvement
+ Lead or participate in H&S forums, committees, and emergency planning exercises
+ Liaise with enforcement bodies, insurers, and claims handlers as needed
+ Champion HSS communication and cultural initiatives, including the ‘Protecting the Magic’ campaign
+ Act as the local reference point for HSS IT systems and ensure accurate records and reporting
**Qualifications and Experience:**
+ Proven experience in Health and Safety management, ideally in high-risk or complex environments
+ Expertise in developing and implementing safety policies, initiatives, and training programs
+ Skilled in risk assessments, safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
+ Strong track record in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
+ Required: OSHA 30, NEBOSH Diploma, or equivalent safety qualifications
+ Preferred: Degree in Safety Management or certifications such as ASP, CSP, SMS, OHST
+ Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards it (desirable)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and data reporting tools
+ Excellent organisational and management skills; able to manage multiple priorities
+ Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
+ In-depth knowledge of occupational Health and Safety standards and regulations
+ Hands-on experience in safety-critical environments and training delivery
+ Familiarity with Health and Safety management systems and auditing
+ Analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement
+ Knowledge of injury reporting, investigation, and record-keeping requirements
+ Proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to fostering a strong safety culture
