Regional Fleet Manager - North East

 

 

Must live in the North East Region 

 

The Regional Fleet Manager leads fleet operations in the designated geography by developing fleet capability, reliability, and sustainability. This role is critical for driving field performance and execution. Key responsibilities include:

Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships. AOP Tactics: Implement Repair & Maintenance tactics and ensure DOT compliance. Strategy Development: Collaborate with Site Leadership on field strategies. Asset Management: Manage assets across regional sites. Fuel Usage Improvement: Enhance fuel efficiency programs. Customer Service: Deliver top-notch service to customers.

Ensure compliance with DOT, CSA scores, and other regulations. Conduct fleet assessments and coordinate compliance programs. Communicate safety procedures for the safe operation of all company vehicles and manage the associates who handle them.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

National Strategies: Implement and adapt national fleet strategies to reduce costs and increase efficiencies in R&M, reliability, fuel, and safety. Supplier Management: Evaluate vendor performance, address opportunities, and align field support. Metrics Analysis: Track and analyze fleet metrics, including cost, asset utilization, compliance, and uptime improvement. Technical Leadership: Guide field teams in repair or replace decisions, including CAPEX usage. Ensure proper documentation to include Vehicle licensing Fleet Forecasting: Support national fleet forecasting and asset replacement planning. Performance Management: Oversee fleet performance in designated regions. Fuel Conservation: Implement plans to reduce fuel usage and improve MPG. Education and Implementation: Train field teams on national fleet tactics (Train the trainer). Regulatory Compliance: Conduct compliance assessments and ensure adherence to regulations. Safety Expertise: Understand and deliver CSA Vehicle Basic Points per inspection reduction to meet annual goals.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The role will be an individual contributor and have no supervisory responsibilities.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Experience: 5+ years in the fleet industry.

Education: Bachelor’s degree, MBA or advanced degree a plus Certifications: Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
