Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager

Schedule: 8am-5pm (M-F)

What will you do? Make an impact!

The Regional Fleet Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are maintained in a safe and efficient manner, minimizing downtime and maximizing the lifespan of the fleet. The role involves overseeing the maintenance and repair of 25-30 diesel vehicles, coordinating with mechanics and drivers, and ensuring compliance with safety and DOT regulations.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

Ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance by adhering to regulations, standards, and internal policies, while promoting a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Control inventory, labor and repair cost through various computer software systems.  Developing schedules and methods for maintenance, and prioritizing and assigning work  Ensure quality, compliance and safety regulations set by company standards.  Track the vehicle and equipment fleet, including maintaining files of warranties, maintenance and repair records, licenses, inspections, and service agreements.  Manage the Transportation Shop and Diesel Mechanics  Mentor mechanics on further education and training on DOT regulations.  Monitor quality of work on equipment leaving the repair shop.  Other duties and task as assigned by management.  Preparing reports on operations and activities, and recommending improvements   Preparing and administering the program budget, and monitoring expenditures   Maintain records on vehicle use and maintenance   Other duties as needed. Do you have what it takes? A High school diploma or equivalent  3+ years of management experience with diesel heavy duty trucks and equipment  Must be proficient with various computer software systems  Able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check  Valid driver’s license  Knowledge of the DOT regulations  ASE certification desirable, not mandatory  Physically able to lift 60lbs  Good Time management and communication skills
