We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Regional Director to oversee Prisma Health's upstate South Carolina market/region to align the objectives with those of hospitals, lab leadership, and Medical Directorship. The role would be based out of Greenville, SC.

Responsibilities:
Lead and direct the hospital laboratories within the market to ensure quality results, proper staffing, financial vitality, and foster a team environment
Ensure adherence and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures for sites within the designated market.
Work closely with hospital administration and lab leadership in maintaining financial objectives and understand/explain variances of laboratories within the market.
Ensure laboratories with in the market are performing within established metrics – understand root cause and implement process improvements when necessary
Partner with Quality and oversee the implementation of new test methods and procedures at hospitals within the market.
Work closely with Medical Directors, Professional Support Leaders, and Health System Leadership to ensure the laboratories are meeting the expectations of the providers and patients.
Resolve client inquiries and operational issues in a timely manner by consulting with the Medical Director, Technical Director, QA, other laboratory managers, discipline directors, laboratory managers or corporate operations.
Maintain compliance with corporate, state and federal regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, State, ISO, etc.) related to personnel safety and quality of laboratory testing as well as professional conduct.
Serve as the laboratory liaison and a partner for other health system departments – promote communication and teamwork.
Ensure effective communication with leadership, clients, corporate operations, as well as direct reports, departmental staff, and inter-departmental staff.
Assist in budget preparation and expense management for sites within the designated market.
Promote a culture of process improvement, professional growth, continuous learning.
Conduct laboratory meetings to ensure communication of laboratory performance, process changes, and to promote a positive interaction between laboratory leaders
Investigate deviations from established procedures to ensure effective corrective action.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Be an available resource to support the team as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology or a related life science; advanced degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of clinical laboratory experience within a supervisory or management role.
Experience leading a microbiology, anatomic pathology, and clinical pathology dept preferred
ASCP, AMT, or any other relevant laboratory certifications as MLS or MT
Proficient in laboratory knowledge and how to effectively manage a clinical laboratory.
Prior experience in a high volume, large hospital environment
Familiar with new laboratory instrumentation and equipment automation
Strong working knowledge of supply chain operations and expense control
Ability to communicate with a heavy customer focus when working with client leadership
Previous experience managing multiple locations is highly preferred
Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations
Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Proven success in training and developing both technical and non-technical employees
Strong demonstrated leadership capabilities including: emotional intelligence, excellent listening, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage the performance of others and provide developmental coaching/feedback and mentoring
Ability to problem solve and provide solutions under minimal supervision
Able to balance the needs of the business with the needs of the employees.
Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
