As a key member of the sales leadership team, the Regional Sales Director will be responsible for the Transcatheter Heart Valve (THV) business in their assigned region of the U.S. The role reports to an Area Vice President and will drive the achievement of sales and profit objectives within a region of responsibility, to include overall coordination and functional management of sales teams (Territory Managers and Field Clinical Specialists).   

How you will make an impact:

Coordinating and executing specific objectives of the Sales StrategyEstablishing sales targets, managing budget, and inventoryTalent management responsibilities: hiring, retaining and developing talent, developing succession plans and proactively managing performance Collaborating with functional departments of the company, specifically but not limited to Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical AffairsProviding oversight of site performance and outcomesPlanning and preparing forecasts by account, product and therapy for the given territory as well as proposing expenses for meetings and/or customer activitiesProactively facilitating the flow of information from the field into Business Development, Marketing and R&DCollaborating with Marketing and Professional Education to further develop value added strategies, tools, programs and servicesMaintaining current knowledge of competitive business strategies and product pipeline, healthcare economics, regulatory and legislative activities and incorporating into regional sales plans and strategiesManaging and adhering to T&E expense budget, inventory management, and other variable expenses such as regional sponsorships, grants and COEs

What you'll need (Required):

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in related field plus related experience in operations management at regional level requiredDemonstrated track record in people management Required

What else we look for (Preferred):

Demonstrated skills in the following areas: leadership, coaching and counseling, budgeting, negotiating, selling and strategic planning.Cardiovascular or Interventional Peripheral Vascular experience.Demonstrated change agent with a bias for action. Open to exploring and being influenced by differing ideas and points of view.Strong business and financial acumen is critical.Working knowledge of the THV products/therapies and develop an extensive understanding of all their applications preferred.  Must have strong creative, strategic, analytical, and financial skills with a demonstrated ability to understand competition and industry trends.Ability to foster and develop effective internal and external business relationships is essential.Ability to influence and interface effectively at all levels.Ability to provide strategic input back to Marketing, Sales, R&D, Operations, etc.Strong interpersonal skills.
