allows us to compare our patient outcomes to state and national benchmarksPosition SummaryThe Regional Director will provide the overall strategic and operational leadership for the Heart Vascular Institute within the East Region which spans two campuses covering both inpatient and outpatient services as well as multiple ambulatory locations The Regional Director is directly accountable for all facets of its operation including managing patient demand and throughput patient satisfaction regulatory preparedness quality improvement physician satisfaction employee satisfaction business development and clinical integrationKey AccountabilitiesOversees operational budgeting evaluation of capital needs and purchasing of equipment and oversight of financial performance in partnership with the acute care team and HHC Medical GroupSupports efforts to reduce variations in care eliminate waste improve quality and align physicians to ensure access to the highest standard of careCreates strong physician relationships that support the development and maturation of the Heart Vascular InstituteCollaborates with physicians to develop and foster engagement and positive work relationshipsPartners with HHC Institute Directors key personnel hospital administrative teams and physicians to develop strategies promote operational standards that ensure services are coordinated across HHC InstitutesFacilitates a multidisciplinary approach to care within the institute modelsEngages service line leaders quality physicians managed care and supply chain to plan for emerging trends in clinical protocols technology reimbursement medical management and supply utilizationResponsible for the adoption and dissemination of clinical standards and best practices as determined by the institutesCollaborates with system partners decision support and IT to develop tracking and reporting mechanismsMonitors and ensures service line quality such as clinical outcomes and satisfactionResponsible for transitions of care and handoffs throughout the continuum of care both within the institutes and in the communityOversees operations in the acute care and ambulatory HVI
