ResponsibilitiesThe Dental Director is responsible for overseeing the dental program and ensuring quality dental care is provided to protect the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient population. Responsibilities may include and not be limited to:
Developing and implementing dental services policies, procedures, and protocolsPerforming direct dental care services for the patients in residenceEnsuring compliance with State and Federal mandates and regulations, including court mandates and standardsCollaborating with other medical professionals to ensure staff are responsive to patients’ needsTraining, supervising, and evaluating dental staff Qualifications
Education / Licenses / Certifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or equivalentExperience in clinical dentistry and correctional settings preferredValid dental license in the state of ArizonaCPR certificationCurrent DEA registration
