Purpose of Role: The Head of Comminution - LATAM role encompasses leadership for a Comminution team across the LATAM region.  The role includes financial responsibility for sales and execution teams and contributes as a senior level role which requires the ability to match strategic vision with the engagement of a variety of stakeholders, including Country Directors to build sustainable relationships to realize long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Comminution team in line with Weir mission and vision for the LATAM region (Brazil, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Caracol, Argentina).Develop and implement strategies to win capital equipment sales on project and sector basis across Comminution product.Develop and grow Aftermarket of Comminution products.Develop strong relationships with key customers to ensure expectations are being met and remedial action taken to address issuesDrive the Weir Customer Experience Program (WCEP) to improve all customers relationships in the RegionEnsure success of all initiatives from Group, Division and Leadership teams (e.g. safety, VCE)Contribute to the annual 5 year strategic review for Weir Minerals Business Goals and from this develop and drive the implementation of sound tactical plans for each operation.Drive a lean enterprise to deliver improvements throughout the business which provide value to the customer through the elimination of waste.Create a high performance culture. This will be achieved through a robust succession plan deep within the business, the recruitment of high calibre team members and the retention and structured performance development of existing team members.Plan, lead, organize and coach direct reports to deliver performance against Key Financial, Quality, Safety and Customer Service measures. This will be achieved by setting clear expectations, driving accountability and developing individual and team performance.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.



Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Chemical or Process Engineering.Post graduate qualifications in business eg MBA desirable.10+ years of experience in Sales and Marketing in Minerals Processing Equipment.Previous technical sales experience, ideally with a range of products, with proven ability to demonstrate identification of opportunities, formulation of strategies and achievement of results.Language Skills: Advanced English proficiency.Computer Skills: MS Office, SAP, Salesforce
