Regional Commercial Finance Manager, Europe

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Support local Commercial and Finance teams with all new business tendersLead any Region level new business tendersOwn the relevant Europe TAT excel files used for the tender analysis and approvalsTrain local Finance and Commercial teams to ensure correct completion of TAT filesAnalyse and challenge tender assumptions ensuring accurate financialsWork with Commercial to suggest optimal offers to the customers and best solutions for GateIdentify risks and help to ensure new contracts reduce our exposureCarryout post win / loss reviews and document results to be shared with Europe managementManage Revenue Assurance for the Europe region by establishing regular analysis and reportsCarryout regular audits and deep dive checks to ensure all revenue is correctly invoicedPerform customer contract and tender reviews to maximise revenue and profitabilityLead monthly analysis and reporting for the Europe region of customer CM1Investigate CM1 anomalies with the relevant teams and ensure any required corrective actionManage monthly DSO reviews and associated MBR deck analysis and commentaryWork with local Commercial and Finance teams to review the invoicing process, maximise revenue, reduce DSO and improve customer satisfactionBuild strong working relationships with the Europe and Local Commercial and Finance teams and the Group Business Controlling teamEnsure adherence to Group and Regional Authority MatrixPrepare Ad hoc financial analysisProvide active support in CF planning and reportingFostering a culture of continuous improvement within the European Finance and Commercial teamsAd hoc assistance with other finance projects

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance with professional qualificationMaster’s degree preferred; Finance, Business, Economics, Math or Engineering majorsACCA/CIMA or local accounting qualified is strongly preferred

Work Experience:

Strong financial background with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, critical thinking and attention to detail.Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a finance analysis or reporting roleMinimum of 3 years’ experience in new business tender analysis2 or more years managing a FP&A function preferredStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead a finance team that has a mix of levels and experienceAbility to motivate non-direct reports to meet deadlines and follow best practiceExpert Excel userStrong capability and knowledge of systems: Hyperion Enterprise, Hyperion Essbase, or other management information systems; strong drive to explore and exploit systems capabilities.Understanding of accounting standards and compliance requirementsSelf-motivated with ability to work independently without supervisionAbility to see 'big picture" strategic view as well as process detailsAbility to interpret information, recognize needs of the business, and translate data into actionable analysisEthical beyond question – inspire trust

Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)

Must possess excellent financial and analytical skills including experience creating complex excel spreadsheetsMust be able to effectively and professionally communicate with management and staff.Must demonstrate sound judgment and reasoning skills.Ability to prioritise and successfully manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

  Language / Communication Skills:

 Fluent in written and spoken English, other European languages an advantageStrong communication skillsCapability to work in a matrix organisationAbility to influence and motivate others
