Regional Category Leader
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:  Execute the annual plan and 3-5 year strategic plans for the castings and forged iron materials category for Emerson Pressure Management sites in the Americas.
a.    The annual plan will include projects to achieve cost containment, lead time and service level improvement (OTD), quality improvements, and supply risk scoring and mitigation.
b.    The 3-5 year plans will include supplier rationalization/consolidation and suppliers identified as “growth, maintenance or exit” Management of key suppliers in the category of castings and forged iron materials for Emerson Pressure Management sites in the Americas by conducting periodic supplier reviews and establishing strong relationships. 
a. Conduct supplier business review; provide feedback on performance.
b. Evaluate supplier performance and training needs and propose development plans for continuous improvement.
c. Drive and track continuous improvement programs focusing on quality performance, lead time, service level and ability to provide speed and agility. 
d.  Obtain market intelligence and understand suppliers' long-term plans and strategies. 
e. Provide a roadmap to mitigate risk in the supply chain or improve supply chain flexibility and monitor execution. Lead negotiations with key suppliers for long-term agreements (contracts) or cost containment projects. Negotiations should include worldwide spend with any supplier and not be limited only to spend from Americas locations. This includes suppliers exporting outside the Americas to other Pressure Management centers in Europe and Asia. Conduct a quarterly review of the supplier's SWOT, such as overall performance and supply risk.  This includes and is not limited to:
a. Devise a plan to phase out non-performing suppliers and introduce replacement suppliers.  
b. Make a business case for the supplier(s) to expand capacity to meet our volume forecasts and be flexible to accommodate equipment variations. Understand category cost drivers and provide updated market information to Operations, Sales, Marketing and Product Management. Establish and standardize price adjustment mechanisms through raw material adjustments to contracts. Find opportunities for bringing to bear with other PRM centers around the world or within Final Controls and Emerson. Be the PRM [Region] representative for the category and resolve conflicts with suppliers. Direct and coordinate the activities of the Jr. Iron Foundry and Forged Materials Category Leader for Emerson Pressure Management sites in the Americas.
  For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Finance, Operations, Technical or Business Advanced English (C1, C2 level) Master's degree related to the area (desirable) Minimum 5 years of functional experience, in one or more of the following areas: Supply, Engineering, Finance or Operations.  Preferably work experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive project and change management experience supported by a methodology. Good experience in spend analysis methodologies and best practice implementation. Experience in implementing supplier improvement programs Excellent negotiation and contract management skills Professional knowledge of the relevant category market and key cost drivers. Good project management experience within multi-disciplinary teams. Experience in e-Sourcing (e.g. ARIBA) preferred.   Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Lateral relationships

Operations/Materials Managers: to understand plant needs and requirements and support execution. Sales/Engineering: to assist with project specifications, bill of materials and margin expectations. IT: to assist with ERP and data extractions.  Finance: to support financial analysis and cost modeling.
