See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality:** Position Overview: Drive growth through dealer acquisition & retention while delivering world class customer service to our dealer partners. Attain revenue; margin & share goals while professionally developing the field sales force (Business Development Managers) within the region. Assist dealers in the Midwest, Central and Western United States to obtain growth and profitability utilizing Mercury products. **At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.** Essential Functions: + Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned Business Development Managers + Help develop and implement the strategy required to reach Mercury goals + Oversee onboarding & on-the-job training of BDM’s + Assess & create development plans for BDM’s within the region + Work seamlessly with Mercury OEM team + Work closely with upper management within sales to evaluate market needs and trends + Report out regularly to management on competitive products and programs + Resolve sales conflicts between Mercury and its dealers & OEM’s within the region + Develop sound working relations between Mercury and its key dealers + Establish open communication between Mercury and local OEM boat reps + Assess issues within the region, resolving where possible and report back to upper management when follow up is required + Work closely with the category group on current and future product + Work National & Regional shows during the year + Recruit & retain top talent + Serve as a cross functional bridge across departments - specifically service and marketing. This includes work on new programs and initiatives as well as working together to solve issues & concerns and drive alignment in communications to the customer base. **Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.** Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree required + Track record of exceptional sales performance with the demonstrated ability to discover business opportunities + 5-10 years working with a dealer organization or equivalent + A documented track record of success within the marine or power sports industry with knowledge of marine industry dealer or related organization + Verbal and written skills necessary to effectively communicate within Mercury and within the dealer network -- Excellent organizational skills are a must + Ability to understand the market and apply inputs into a regional demand plan that drives production; Possess a high level of business acumen + Ability to work with diverse personalities while remaining tactful, professional, and flexible + Ability to coach and motivate field staff + Ability to be persuasive with customers while keeping customer satisfaction as a guiding factor + Ability to travel 20-30% Preferred Qualifications: + Good working knowledge of Mercury & related products + Solid presentation skills + Willingness to 'take responsibility' and get the job done under any circumstances + Working knowledge of the law as it pertains to sales and advertising + Leadership & interpersonal skills + Knowledge of policy administration + Ability to understand, develop, and manage a budget + Advanced Computer Skills in Microsoft Applications and ability quickly adapt to job specific programs and processes The anticipated pay range for this position is $115,700 - $185,900 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
