Regional Analyst (AR/LA/OK/NM/TX)
In a support capacity to a federal agency’s Regional Representative (RR), the candidate in this position is responsible for reviewing and assessing grantee programs and financial management data relative to program objectives to ensure that funds are expended for appropriate activities and meet federal requirements. The Regional Analyst will assist the RR in providing consultation and community engagement in his or her respective geographical region in the administration of the federal program.
Essential Duties Include:
Assist and support site visits with states, voluntary agencies, mutual assistance associations, and other entities.
Obtain clearance for site reports from the respective Regional Representative before release.
Analyze state plans, grantees' program performance, financial reports and data relative to program objectives and summarize observations.
Provide technical assistance to grantees as a follow-up to monitoring reports.
Review grantee independent auditor reports and recommend follow-up review as needed.
Develop work plans to implement individual monitoring assignments and support grants management and state program review teams.
Schedule and conduct selected on-site monitoring visits; analyze program performance and identify gaps in programs, model programs and/or programs that require corrective actions in the administration of federal programs.
Prepare written reports of findings, i.e., strengths, best practices, weaknesses and recommendations for improvements.
Assist in the development and coordination of regional initiatives of cross-cutting and highly inter-related issues on behalf of the federal agency, state representatives, and other key officials to assure integrated, collaborative efforts in achieving objectives.
Assist in collaboration efforts with regional government offices and regional branches of Federal agencies to enhance services and support for populations served by the designated federal agency.
Provide support to the agency on a range of analytical tasks to support federal decision making.
Analyze user needs and perform research and functional analysis on a variety of projects.
Assist in the modification of monitoring protocols as needed.
Work under direction of Regional Representative.
25% domestic travel to grantee sites is required.
This position is remote, but the applicant must reside in either Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, New Mexico, or Texas. Location preference is the Dallas, TX metro area, but applicants in the aforementioned states will be considered as well.
Qualifications:
BA/BS Degree
5-8 years of related experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft products, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working with federal grants preferred.
Experience working with immigrant or refugee communities preferred.

The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
