The Regional Account Manager for Food Service is responsible for managing and coordinating sales activities within the subordinated region in alignment with the agreed strategy, objectives, plans, and budgets.
What you’ll be doing.
Sales activities:
You participate in the development and achievement of sales and marketing plans according to the agreed budget figures and strategy.You demonstrate McCain products to end-users, showcasing their features and benefits.You collect orders for distributors from end-users and ensure timely processing.You analyze sales trends and identify new customer needs, communicating this information to the Area Manager Food Service.You gather and communicate necessary data about competition, market activities, promotions, and new product launches.You analyze distributor performance concerning McCain and competition sales, assortment, distribution, and product presence in the market.You organize and participate in local food shows and distributor fairs to promote McCain products and foster business relationships.You participate in or organize sales commandos as requested to address specific sales challenges or opportunities.You prepare and present sales proposals, pricing agreements, and contracts to key accounts, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Relationship Building and Cooperation:
You build strong relationships and cooperation with distributor sales forces and management to maximize McCain product presence across all end-user channels in the region and provide exceptional service.You conduct training sessions for distributor sales forces to enhance product knowledge and selling skills.You conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, identify opportunities for growth, and address any concerns or challenges.
New Product Development:
You play an active role in new product development by providing feedback and insights based on market trends and customer needs.You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to support the needs of key accounts and drive business growth.
Reporting:
You prepare monthly sales reviews and presentations as required by management.You maintain accurate records by entering data in the Route book daily, including sales orders and customer visit reviews.
What you’ll need to be successful.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales or account management, preferably within the food service industry.Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.Strong understanding of the food service industry, including knowledge of distribution channels, customer segments, and market dynamics.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and internal stakeholders.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute effective sales plans and initiatives.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding expectations.Proficient in CRM software.Agile, innovative, resilient and committed to the McCain Leadership principles Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent oral and written communications skills Proficient in Spanish (written and spoken)Willingness to travel within the designated region as required.
