Overview: Under the leadership of the Specialties Business Leader, the Regional Account Manager will be accountable for the account management plan for the Pasture and Land Management (P&LM) business within a specified geography and will optimize sales volume and market share of Corteva Agriscience Specialties products.
The goal of the Regional Account Manager is to develop key customer relationships, identify market opportunities, execute regional sales plans, and maintain Corteva Agriscience’s leadership and market share within their specified geography.
**What You'll Do:**
+ Develop and execute key account plans as part of an overall regional plan which supports the objectives of the Specialties business plan.
+ Customer and market related activities, strategic account management, contract negotiations, competitive analysis, profitability analysis.
+ Develop and nurture relationships with Specialties customers, key applicators, national industrial accounts, distribution and retail partners as assigned to promote the use of Corteva products in all segments of the Specialties business.
+ Develop contacts and strong relationships at senior management levels with key accounts within the assigned geography.
+ Develop and analyze product, market and competitive data to prioritize opportunities within the specified region.
+ Overall market evaluation: segment exploration, market assessment, opportunity identification, market potential and attractiveness evaluations.
+ Manage multiple platform sales (row crops, seeds, pastures, CP etc) with internal stakeholders when applicable, and drive the implementation of strategic plans with sellers.
+ Use extensive knowledge of customers’ total needs and product offerings to form account strategies and promote long term value creation.
+ Understand the business levers to pull (eg: price, volume, growth) in order to increase margins.
+ Build a sales opportunity pipeline by discovering unarticulated needs.
+ Lead the regional stewardship of Corteva Specialties products and ensure compliance of responsible care. Complete customer training as required and assist customers in managing regulatory or special interest issues to protect our freedom to operate. Regular communication and collaboration with Corteva marketing and regulatory subject matter experts is important.
+ Ensure proper product stewardship and compliance with EH&S, sales processes and company policies.
+ Coordinate commercial and cross functional activities to allow customer and business success. Establish and maintain both internal and external customer focus by initiating and utilizing joint customer teams.
+ Forecast and align internal departments such as other sellers also serving the customer.
+ Participate in monthly Specialties team meetings.
+ Coach others on identifying and delivering a total customer solution.
+ Collaborate with distributor territory managers to help Corteva meet annual sales and profitability plans.
+ Communicate market opportunities, research needs, field development, industry issues and government affairs through a multifunctional business strategy plan for the geographic market.
+ Manage new product introductions within the region in compliance with marketing strategies and objectives. Provide information regarding market dynamics to the marketing group.
+ Represent Corteva at various industry associations. Ensure Corteva’s interests are well represented; influence industry associations as required.
**What You'll Need:**
+ B.S. Agriculture/Business/Marketing preferred. Field Sales, account management or equivalent experience providing extensive experience in a competitive commercial environment. Industrial or Ag background useful, but not mandatory.
+ Minimum of 5 years industry or equivalent experience desired.
+ Must have demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to resolve complex business issues.
+ Shall possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Strong self management, personal leadership, and listening skills are required.
+ Must be able to work independently and demonstrate personal initiative.
+ Relevant work experience and a strong background in P&LM would be a definite asset.

+ Must hold a valid driver’s license with a responsible driving record.
+ Candidate should plan on a range of 60-90 travel days annually.
