Job Overview

The Regional Account Director is responsible for driving business growth, managing strategic client relationships, and leading sales initiatives within an assigned geographic territory. This role focuses on expanding market share, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring client satisfaction while achieving revenue targets and representing the company's interests in the region.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional sales and account management strategies that align with corporate objectivesBuild and maintain strategic relationships with key decision-makers in client organizationsMeet or exceed revenue targets through new business development and existing account expansionOversee complex contract negotiations and service agreements with high-value clientsLead a team of account managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance managementAnalyze regional market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to identify growth opportunitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful client onboarding and ongoing service deliveryCreate and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective and existing clientsMonitor and report on key performance metrics, sales forecasts, and pipeline managementServe as the voice of the client within the organization, advocating for client needsRepresent the company at regional industry events, conferences, and networking functionsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred8+ years of progressive sales and account management experienceProven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targetsExperience managing strategic client relationships at the executive levelDemonstrated leadership abilities and team management experienceStrong understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needsExcellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skillsAbility to travel within the assigned region (approximately 40-50%)SkillsStrategic account planning and managementBusiness development and relationship buildingTeam leadership and performance managementFinancial acumen and budget managementConsultative selling and solution positioningContract negotiation and deal structuringForecasting and pipeline managementExecutive-level presentation and communicationCRM system proficiencyProblem-solving and strategic thinkingWorking ConditionsOffice environment with significant regional travel requiredFlexible schedule to accommodate client meetings and regional eventsRemote work capabilities with regular in-person client meetingsMay require occasional evening or weekend work for client entertainment or events
