D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Regional Vice President of Land. The right candidate is responsible for implementing and maintaining land processes and ensuring consistency across division land teams. Assist divisions with alignment of acquisition teams by sub-market and manage deal assignments throughout the region. Work closely with all division land personnel to maintain coordination and compliance with region requirements for organization, prospect tracking, due diligence, and land development maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist divisions in aligning land acquisition teams by sub-marketWork closely with division land acquisition analysts and coordinators to ensure full support is provided to land acquisition teamsEnsure all divisions within the region have a uniform process for managing and maintaining the OOE, NOS, and amendment process, due diligence, and study period timelinesMeet or exceed the target goal of 90%/10% (option/finished vs. self-development)Serve as the main point of contact for executive management for all topics related to landFacilitate division matters and processes through the region teamManage deal assignments throughout the regionAssist divisions with the assignment process through model and offering package creationAssist the region legal team in growing and developing outside counsel representationResponsible for high-level deal approval before region president approvalVerify that each division utilizes a reliable process for tracking prospectsDevelop and implement standardized files for organizing and tracking land development budgets, bond management, and prospectsBuild strong relationships with division departments such as Sales, Marketing, Construction, and FinanceCommunicate critical dates and information to region and division management timelyConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnight

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Real Estate, Planning, Government Relations or related field from a four-year college or university Seven to ten years land acquisition experience Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s licenseExperience in contract negotiationStrong verbal written communication skillsExperience working in a team environmentAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderate

Action oriented, drive to support teams in pushing land acquisitions to successful closurePrior experience managing land acquisition teamsKnowledge in market analyses

Compensation

Annual Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000, depending on qualifications and experienceCompetitive Bonus Structure
