The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other health care providers, or the board and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment **Morton Plant Hospital is a major facility with these recognized units and services:** + **Open‑Heart Unit (CVICU)** : Managed through the Morgan Heart Hospital, this unit handles open‑heart surgeries and cardiovascular critical care.
