With the creation of our new umbrella organization we now have our own identity with a unique payroll, benefits, performance management system, service recognition programs and other common practices across the system. *_Position Summary:_* Reporting to the Regional Patient Access Manager, and matrixed to the Financial Clearance Analyst Manager, is a subject matter expert for supported systems within Patient Access. Engages with regional operational leaders to identify and evaluate denial prevention opportunities, along with financial risks and trends that enables unit regional leaders to implement mitigation strategies. Recommends improvements to systems, standard work, policies and procedures based on site Gemba sessions and the evaluation of current state operational information for review. Also oversees Patent Access processes to assist in accurate financial reimbursements and denial prevention through internal audits and review of dashboard analytics in order to meet established departmental and organizational metrics. *_Position Responsibilities:_* *Key Areas of Responsibility* · Communicates clearly and effectively with colleagues, business partners and stakeholders from Patient Access, Revenue Cycle and Finance and operational leaders for effective problem-solving, relating to Patient Access, and takes appropriate actions to address issues involving registration insurance verification errors and workflow bottlenecks. · Participates with management in strategizing for Process Improvement initiatives. · Prepares and presents regular Epic, Sift, Slicer-Dicer or Tableau reports to Regional Patient Access Services (PAS) Managers with actionable insights and recommendations. · Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for patient access services and implements best practices for quality assurance measures to maintain 25% best in class high standards of accuracy and efficiency. · Monitors and tracks denials originating from patient access areas and looks to improve workflows to reduce the volume. · Performs ongoing Quality Assurance analysis of Hospital billing, Do Not Bill Claim edit Work queues and provides feedback to owning areas. · Works closely with patient access teams to streamline processes, enhance patient experience, and improve workflow efficiency. Implements best practices and standard operating procedures across the region. · Collaborates with co-workers and management to resolve issues impacting departmental and/or hospital operations in order to maximize reimbursement and minimize denials. *Perform other related duties as required* · Demonstrates willingness to accept additional responsibility or projects as requested to meet the needs of the department · Performs other duties as assigned in the department and at organizational level *_Working Relationships:_* *This Job Reports To:*Regional Patient Access Manager** *_Requirements and Specifications:_* *Education* · High school diploma/GED equivalent or equivalent *Experience* · Minimum: Minimum of3 - 5 years’ experience in a health care setting, EPIC, patient access revenue cycle management, and or relatedfield. · Preferred: EPIC demonstrated knowledge and or proficiency Demonstrated proficiency in Revenue Cycle *Language Skills* · Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements * · Able to multi-task and adapt to change · Be fully knowledgeable about all aspects of insurance verification · Excellent customer service skills · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently · Excellent organizational, communicational and interpersonal skills. · Knowledge of insurance payor verification and reimbursement guidelines · Ability to travel to different facilities within the region as needed. *_We take great care of careers._**__* With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
