Refrigeration Operator (1 Year Fixed Term )

 

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of Refrigeration Operator  reporting to the Service  Superintendent. The positions will be based in Delmas .

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Responsible to operate the Refrigeration plant, main water supply, air compressors and boreholes, as well as servicing and maintaining cold rooms.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

Ensure an effective availability of Refrigeration services and all outside plant rooms. Inspecting, maintaining and operating Refrigeration cold store equipment and freezing tunnels as well as all refrigeration equipment.Safety and Housekeeping Air compressor operation and inspections. Main water supply tanks and borehole operations and inspections.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

 

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.

 

Be in possession of Ammonia Certificate Cat A

 

Must be registered with SAQCCG.

 

Person with experience will do 3 months on the job training.

 

Previous food experience will be advantageous.
