**Referral Specialist – Internal Medicine Residency Clinic** _Fast-paced, high-volume clinic is looking for top skilled Referral Specialist_ **Work location:** 1275 West Terrell Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 **Work hours:** Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm **Internal Medicine Residency Clinic Highlights:** + Be a part of our clinic that offers the opportunity to strengthen your skills by working with Internal Medicine Residents in a rewarding, educational environment + If you thrive working in a fast-paced, multi-provider clinic and can handle multiple projects simultaneously, this is the place for you! + Join our team members who have strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and support each other through collaborative teamwork + We pride ourselves in being compassionate and empathic to our patients and team What You Will Do: Initiates and manages all components of clinical referrals for various services. 15% Sets up appointments and any special arrangements such as transportation, interpreter services, etc. 15% Verifies insurance coverage and obtains authorizations, if needed, from insurance providers. 15% Acts as liaison between hospitals, physicians, health plans, vendors and patients or referral sources. 10% Coordinates flow of information between medical clinic and referral authorization department to secure a valid referral for clinic patient. 10% Develops and maintains database of referral physician offices preferred by each physician within the clinic. 10% Assists Practice Manager with complaint resolution and solutions related to patient referrals. 10% Enters referrals, documents, communications and actions in system. 10% Performs other duties as assigned. 5% What You Need: Education H.S. Diploma or Equivalent Req Experience 2 Years Related experience in a healthcare environment Pref Education H.S. Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
