The Referral Coordinator will assist in processing all inbound specialty prescriptions from referring prescribers. They are tasked with coordinating and assuring the smooth flow of the prescription referral and prior authorization process to meet the needs of patients while establishing collaborative relationships and communication with the prescriber’s office.

ResponsibilitiesHow do I make an impact on my team?
Initiate prescription prior authorizations on behalf of prescriber’s officesCoordinate and confirm with patients’ prescription deliveriesInitiate contact and create new potential clinic/prescriber relationshipsCommunicate current and relevant prescription, insurance and financial needs as they relate to appropriate pharmacists, providers, clinical support staff and patientsInteracts with clinic employees, including but not limited to pharmacists, clinical staff, fiscal personnel, department managers, access services staff, coding staff, and billing assistants. External contacts include but are not limited to third party payers, manufacturers, prescription benefit management companies, external pharmacy personnel, and referring providers and their support staffThe Employee will act in accordance with all applicable federal and state laws and with the highest ethical standards that we consistently strive to achieve. Thus, legal and ethical compliance is an essential duty of each employeeServes as the liaison between the medical staff, outpatient pharmacies, insurance providers and patients to improve communication and continuity of careOther duties as assigned QualificationsWhat our team expects from you?
High school diploma or GED, some college preferredCertified CPhT or licensed Medical Assistant preferredOne year experience in specialty pharmacy or medical office preferredParticipate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectivesThe ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees#LI-Remote
