Test Automation Strategy & Best Practices – Ability to assess when to use automation vs. manual testing based on risk, ROI, and test stability.

Risk-Based Testing Decisions – Ability to determine which tests should be automated (high-volume, regression, API) vs. which should remain manual (usability, exploratory, edge cases).
Test Maintenance & Scalability – Ensuring automation is sustainable by implementing best practices like self-healing tests, modular frameworks, and reusable test scripts.
Shift-Left Testing – Embedding automation early in development
Exploratory & Manual Testing Strategy – Understanding the value of manual testing in scenarios that require human intuition, such as UX, accessibility, and new feature validation
Agile & Scrum Experience – Active participation in Agile ceremonies
Excellence in soft skills including communication, collaboration and problem solving
6+ yrs QE testing experience with a demonstrable track record on large greenfield projects   
Automation Framework Design – Experience building and maintaining robust automation frameworks
Leadership experience – experience with leading Quality Engineers/Automation Engineers.
Pipeline & CI/CD experience – setting up, maintenance and running of pipelines, etc.

Desirable
Performance & Load Testing – Familiarity with tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner
