Job Overview

The Dispatchers are expected to execute the plan, route, and schedule for an assigned fleet of trucks, trailers, and drivers to ensure optimum productivity, service levels, and revenue. They must understand and meet the needs of our customers and drivers.

 

The shift is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 04:00 AM – 04:00 PM. 

Duties & Responsibilities Provides a high level of customer service to the assigned driver board and establishes a good working relationship with each regional general manager, facility manager, planner, driver manager, and drivers Communicates with customer service personnel on all levels while developing positive and solid relationships to enhance growth Ensures optimal driver, unit utilization, and performance through effective load adjustment by monitoring active drivers and equipment via total mail (People Net) on the assigned driver board Ensures drivers are contacted and report to work promptly and have accurate information to start and complete their day Ensures all loads are closed out in TMW, whether completed through auto-dispatch or manual and that drivers understand and utilize People Net Sat COMM Assists drivers with day-to-day operational and personal challenges (system, customer, equipment, and environment) Notifies planner, and customer service of all loads that are moved back to an “available status,” answer the phone, and communicate via email in a professional manner Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to work under stress while remaining professional at all times Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented either verbally or in writing Ability to recognize, evaluate and resolve problems Ability to communicate well with others Above-average writing skills and organizational skills Ability to take direction and follow through Google Map skills Detailed oriented Be proactive instead of reactive Capable of working independently, without constant supervision Cross collaborative Experience with Excel  Transportation Management Systems Experience is a plus (TMW Preferred) Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience Preferred Qualifications Transportation Management Systems Experience is a plus (TMW Preferred) Work Environment

This person would be based out of our Red Classic Head Quarters in Charlotte, NC. The schedule is Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 04:00 AM – 04:00 PM. 

This will be an office Environment
