Recruiting Coordinator (12-month contract)

*This is a 12-month contractor position starting July 1, 2025. Qualified candidates must be based in Thailand, and speak English, Thai, and preferably Karen.

This intermediate specialist provides localized, community-immersive recruitment support to Compassion’s Thai-Myanmar project. You will partner closely with the Talent Acquisition Colleagues, People and Culture Partners, hiring managers, and community leaders and networks to identify, engage, and guide local candidates through Compassion’s recruitment process. This role requires adaptability, discretion, cultural fluency, and a deep commitment to Compassion’s mission and child protection priorities.

ResponsibilitiesActs as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.Actively builds, maintains, and delivers a supply of diverse, quality candidates from Thailand and Myanmar gathered through networking, community relationship building, and direct sourcing for various ministry positions as determined by the business goals.Guides the candidate's experience through Compassion’s recruitment process, representing Compassion’s brand and culture to candidates throughout the process of recruitment. Accomplished, in part, by timely communication, sensitivity to candidates’ job search, and strict compliance with policy and legal requirements.Builds and maintains a cross-regional network of potential Thai and Karen candidates through pro-active market research and on-going relationship management; conducts in-depth interviews of potential candidates, demonstrating ability to anticipate hiring manager preferences and needs.Proactively collaborates with management, Thailand People and Culture Partner team, and Talent Acquisition Team to understand short-term and long-term forecasts, in order to design a sourcing and recruitment strategy for assigned professional and support positions.Cooperates with business partners and compensation staff to compile market and internal equity compensation data to formulate compensation recommendation to hiring managers and derive the final offer.Utilizes his or her expertise by training and coaching interview teams on Compassion’s recruitment and selection process.May provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the talent acquisition discipline.May coach and provide expertise to other professionals and support staff in the talent acquisition discipline.

Culture

Accountable for supporting, upholding, and engaging in Compassion's core "Cultural Behaviors" in all internal and external communication and relationships. EducationBachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. ExperienceAt least 2 years of relevant experience preferably in recruitment, human resources, or community engagement. Experience in an under-resourced or cross-cultural contexts would be a strong advantage. LanguageProfessional proficiency in English, Thai, and preferably Karen.

Work Location: Chiangmai, Thailand

Travel Requirements: May be required to travel up to 10% of normal schedule
