The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Assists with training and supervising assigned volunteers and/or youth job program assistants/student interns and their activities. Leads facility-wide participant-centered events.
