Summary This is a NAF position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Flexible. The position is not guaranteed any hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits. Responsibilities Work assignment guidelines include established Force Support Squadron (FSS) procedures, Air Force manuals, directives and policies, procedures and requirements of the various FSS activities. Trainee will perform tasks designed to provide a practical understanding of the activities programs, policies and objectives. Duties will develop trainee's analytical, judgmental, procedural, technical and operational skills. Working under the guidance of and in close association with senior personnel, performs a variety of work assignments consisting of established, specific, and related tasks that have been selected to orient the employee in the practical application of basic principles, concepts, and techniques of the occupational field. Assignments are selected on the basis of their progressive training value for the individual. Performs limited aspects of recreation work, working with participants in well-organized and carefully monitored recreation activities. Subject to satisfactory completion of a Tier-1 background investigation. Trainee will be assigned at any 17th FSS activity. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
