Summary This position is located at USAG Benelux, Outdoor Recreation Center, Chievres AB/Belgium. Responsibilities 1. Assists Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of an outdoor recreation facility. Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery. Duties include adjusting due to changes in program demands or hours of operation and assisting in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, activities, and related functions. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance or referral as appropriate. 2. Assists with publicity of programs and events assists with marketing of posters, flyers and other promotional material. 3. Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Assists with the inventory of property. Monitors equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate. Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Instructs customers and monitors proper and safe usage of equipment, as needed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Possesses directly related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to operate multiple recreational facilities. The related work experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Referral lists are based on the qualifications stated in the job announcement. Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
