Full job description

Our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) located in Whitman is looking for a Peer Recovery Coach to serve as a role model, advocate, navigator, and motivator to individuals in or seeking recovery to promote recovery planning and goal realizations which may include reductions in harm from substance use and sustaining long-term recovery. The Recovery Coach should be grounded in peer-assisted recovery providing a non-clinical, strength-based peer-to-peer support service to persons served. The Recovery Coach will collaborate with other CCBHC team members, including our substance use clinician, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and case manager.

Key Responsibilities:

· Demonstrate an ability to facilitate recovery planning that follows diverse recovery pathways (including medication and moderation), consciously share personal recovery experiences as appropriate, develop authentic peer-to-peer relationships, and understand and respect for each individual’s unique path to recovery

· Assist and support individuals in recovery in identifying, accomplishing, and celebrating their recovery goals

· Lead group sessions with compassion and professionalism

· Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Universal/standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk

· Coordinating aftercare plans to support long-term recovery

Qualifications:

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications:

· Lived experience with 2 years minimum in recovery

· A High School diploma or equivalent

· Must be a Certified Addiction Recovery Coach OR complete certification within 6 months of hire (compensation may be provided)

· Must demonstrate sensitivity to cultural diversity, excellent communication, time-management, organizational and interpersonal skills.


Travel: Up to 30 percent
