Job Title: Recovery Coach Department: Chemical DependencyLocation: Evelyn Brandon Health Center, 81 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14608 Hours Per Week: 40Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM
SUMMARY:
Recovery Coach serves as a peer advocate to an active patient in Chemical Dependency. This position requires a good understanding of self-help groups and recovery process form alcohol or drug addiction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Provides support and guidance to patients who are receiving addiction services.
+ Interacts with the clinical staff in a professional manner.
+ Documents in the medical record in a timely manner, the services provided.
+ Utilizes supervision and is able to receive feedback and take direction.
+ Maintains credential in good standing and attends OASAS trainings to further develop skill as recovery coach.
+ Recruits and supervises volunteers and provides training.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Certified Recovery Peer Advocate certification required..
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 1-3 years of work experience as a certified or provisionally certified peer advocate in chemical dependency preferred.

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
