Records Manager

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. is an exciting, fast paced company with vital records to manage and compelling history to save.  We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Records Manager to support the stewardship of our physical and digital records. This role is vital in preserving the integrity, accessibility, and historical significance of our organizational information. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in records management, a passion for archival best practices, and the ability to collaborate across departments to implement effective policies and procedures. As a Records Manager, a typical day might include the following: 

Collecting and managing the physical and digital records and archives of SEL.

Drafting, implementing, and coordinating policies and procedures for the management of records and archives across all SEL business groups.

Providing training and guidance to internal customers on best practices for the management of records and archives.

Identifying and retaining records and artifacts of historical significance to SEL.

Managing use of and access to records and archives.

Identifying trends in archival technology and make decisions to improve management of the records and archives of SEL.  

This job might be for you if:

You have 3+ years' experience with records and archives management

You have demonstrated knowledge of all aspects of records management, including regulatory requirements

You are proficient in Microsoft Suite

You have superior organizational skills with high attention to detail

You have experience handling highly confidential and proprietary data

You have experience identifying and collecting records of historical significance

You have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in private sector performing record keeping and archival work

Experience collecting and managing confidential physical and digital archives and records

Experience with records keeping and archival software suite

Bachelor's or higher degree in Archives or Information Management

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 40 Lbs.

Pay Range Data

Records Manager, $78,000 - $91,200. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience, and the pay range may differ if filled at a different level. Our pay ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
