About the Position 
The Records and Payables Processor will support efficient management of the Accounts Payable (AP) and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) processes at the Goodyear Proving Grounds *Texas (GPGT). The Accounts Payable process now has to meet tight spend control oversight, which has increased the need for professionally compiled purchase order (PO) requests and accurate invoice handling/tracking. This higher standard and workload applies to both expense budget as well as capital project business processes required at the GPGT.  This position is responsible for submitting capital and expense purchase order requests for GPGT, tracking purchase order spend, following up on invoices and tracking related issues to completion, maintaining a list of active vendors, and coordinating the onboarding process for new vendors. The associate will also track recoveries requested by tire development projects or marketing programs. The individual is expected to have the tools and training to provide assistance to the Akron-based Product Performance Insights (PPI) team as well. The incumbent must possess skills in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel , SAP and SAP-Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), SAP-Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) tools.

Primary Responsibilities
•    Create purchase orders for expenses and capital, including coordinating the processing of vendor quotes and working with purchase order requestors to create the documentation needed to meet the requirements for successful creation.
•    Track/Troubleshoot vendor invoice and payment issues, including incorrect/incomplete invoices and/or missing/duplicate invoices or credits.
•    Report on expense and capital POs and invoice status to stakeholders.
•    Coordinate the creation of new vendors.
•    Other record keeping and reporting duties (as needed).

Required Education and Experience 
•    High school diploma or GED, required. Associates degree, desired.
•    Prior experience in an office environment with administrative coworkers
•    Demonstrated ability to learn new business skills with previous employers
•    Experience with resolving issues with vendors, and reconciling invoices, and in creating/maintaining business transaction records  

Skills and Abilities
•    Math, reading comprehension, and correspondence composition skills to maintain effective written and verbal communication with vendors and peers 
•    Task organization and time management skills for successful achievement of complex goals made up of multiple steps with varying deadlines
•    Problem resolution skills for routine issues
•    Ability to work with peers to achieve a shared goal and establish/maintain a productive work atmosphere
•    Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and other related business tools.
