Job Description

Summary:

The Reconditioning Technician will perform mechanical inspections and light repair work on a wide variety of used vehicles to prepare them for retail sale. This is a fast-paced, production-focused role ideal for well-rounded techs with general repair experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform multi-point mechanical inspections on pre-owned vehiclesDiagnose and complete light repairs including brakes, batteries, filters, fluids, bulbs, hoses, and beltsIdentify safety or drivability concerns and flag higher-level repairs for Service Advisors or Line TechsMaintain accurate records of work performed and parts usedWork efficiently to meet reconditioning cycle time targets and vehicle readiness deadlinesSafely move vehicles between service, recon, and front-line areasCollaborate with service managers, advisors, and parts staff to streamline recon flowMaintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workspace

Qualifications1+ years of hands-on mechanical repair experience Proven ability to work on a wide range of makes and modelsFamiliarity with basic diagnostics, inspections, and light repair workflowsComfortable working in a high-volume, team-oriented shop environmentValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordMust be authorized to work in the USAMust be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and MVR screening
