We are seeking a versatile

Receptionist / Site Operative (m/f/d)

to join our Facilities Management team. In this dual-function role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day facility operations while also providing professional front-desk reception services. The ideal candidate will combine practical maintenance skills with excellent customer service abilities to create a well-maintained and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Operative Tasks:

Perform regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs

Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules

Respond quickly to maintenance requests and emergency situations

Complete basic repairs and troubleshooting across multiple disciplines (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.)

Assist with space management, including furniture assembly and office reconfigurations

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including regular safety checks

Monitor building systems, reporting any irregularities to management

Escort and supervise external contractors while on site

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies

Participate in emergency response procedures as require

Reception Duties:

Provide a warm, professional welcome to all visitors and staff

Manage the visitor management system, including check-in procedures and badge issuance

Handle incoming calls, routing them appropriately and taking messages when necessary

Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries

Coordinate meeting room bookings and prepare conference facilities

Support basic administrative tasks as needed

Maintain the reception area in a neat, organized, and presentable condition

Monitor building access and security systems during reception hours

Support internal communications as directed by management

Assist with basic IT troubleshooting for meeting rooms and reception equipment

Qualifications:

Previous experience (2+ years) in facilities maintenance and/or reception roles

Working knowledge of building systems, maintenance procedures, and safe working practices

Basic technical skills across multiple disciplines (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Customer service orientation

Computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications

Good problem-solving skills and practical approach to challenges

Flexibility to prioritize between reception and maintenance duties

Experience with visitor management systems (advantageous)

Relevant certifications in health and safety or technical areas (advantageous)
