Receptionist/front Desk Coordinator
Job Title: Receptionist

Job Description

As a Receptionist, you will serve as both an internal and external point of contact, providing pivotal administrative support to our clinical laboratory site Under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor, you will ensure that all operations at the front desk run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Follow all laboratory procedures and policies.Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.Receive packages and process packing slips.Greet and welcome visitors upon their arrival at the office.Assist in delivering packages and samples to the office and lab.Maintain front office supplies and keep an inventory of stock.Ensure office equipment such as copiers and printers are functional.Perform data entry tasks.Keep the reception area tidy and presentable.Help plan company lunches, parties, and events as assigned.Respond to all inquiries in a courteous and helpful manner.Maintain office inventory and supplies.Complete and document all mandatory trainings, including annual safety training and other in-service training.Participate in training performed by technical representatives and seek knowledge through articles and outside laboratory training.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of receptionist and/or administrative assistant experience.Proficiency in MS Office Suite.Ability to type at a speed of 50 words per minute.Exceptional customer service skills.Strong administrative capabilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.Self-starter, motivated, and takes initiative.Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff.Attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy.Exercise sound judgment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a secured location on the ground floor of our lab facility, where activities such as nasal swabs are conducted. The lab itself is located on the fourth floor. The work hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour break, or from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-minute break, Monday through Friday. The team is composed of individuals with strong personalities who provide direct feedback and hold each other accountable. The company fosters a casual and friendly environment, organizing quarterly events like picnics and March Madness activities. We encourage movement within the company, as demonstrated by previous receptionists who have transitioned to other departments. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockville, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
