Receptionist - Contingent - Rotating Shift

Shift: Rotating Shift- Will vary between the hours of 6:45 am - 7:00 pm weekly. 6:45 am - 3:15 pm or 11:00 am - 7:00 pm shift (based on the schedule needs). Rotating Weekends and Holidays are Required 

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision receives visitors and patients, gives general information and directs them to the proper office or person; also sorts, processes and distributes all mail.

Responsibilities:

Greets all visitors and patients, providing general information and directing them to the proper office or person. Handles phone inquiries regarding patients and services. Sorts, processes and distributes all incoming and out-going mail, including sending faxes as appropriate. May handle the sale of flowers and plants and is responsible for maintaining financial records of sales. Ability to access current patient information including room and visiting status. Coordinates the delivery of flowers and patient's mail. Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals; patients, vendors, physicians, staff members and the general public.| Math skills necessary to make change from flower sales. May assist leader with training, scheduling and coordination of associates. Performs all other duties and projects as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High School diploma equivalency - 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

3 Years of Customer Service experience preferred. 6 Months of Hospital or Physician Office experience preferred. Flexibility in work schedule Ability to work in a team setting.
