Job Overview:

Maintains high standards on a daily basis as they pertain to customer service within the Radiation Oncology department.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

High School diploma 1-2 years of experience in similar position/customer service role, preferably in a hospitalCandidate will possess excellent communication and customer service skills, computer literacy and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions:

Answers telephone by third ringPolitely asks callers to hold when necessaryDemonstrates telephone courtesy and positive guest relations skillsTracks all calls to assigned modality by utilizing a call log for all incoming and outgoing assistance callsConsistently uses language skills to convey a clear message with a positive and supportive attitudeComplies with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and Protected Health InformationProvides assistance to technologistsTracks exams and updating patient information in Radiology Information SystemSchedules patientsAssists staff by locating and retrieving patient images and reports both internally and externallyAnswer routine questions from staff physicians and radiologistsCommunicating with internal and external scheduling departments
