Receptionist
Description Are you an enthusiastic and organized individual who enjoys acting as the first point of contact for a mission-driven organization? Our client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating positive change in the community, is seeking a professional and friendly Receptionist to join their team. Your skills in customer service and administration will help set the tone for donors, clients, and guests as they engage with the organization. Key Responsibilities + Front Desk Management: Greet visitors warmly, manage front desk activities, and serve as the first point of contact for phone inquiries, emails, and in-person visits. + Call & Email Handling: Direct calls and emails to appropriate departments or personnel efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanor. + Visitor Coordination: Ensure a welcoming environment by managing check-in processes for guests, donors, or community partners. + Scheduling & Calendar Support: Assist with scheduling internal and external meetings, including arranging conference rooms and maintaining shared calendars. + Office Maintenance: Oversee cleanliness, supply restocking, and general upkeep of the reception area and common spaces. + Data Entry & Filing: Maintain organized records for visitors, correspondence, and documents in digital and physical filing systems. + Administrative Assistance: Provide light administrative support to additional departments as needed, such as preparing materials for events or fundraising initiatives. Requirements + Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a receptionist, front desk coordinator, or in a customer-facing role (nonprofit experience is a plus!). + Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse audiences + Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity with database systems; CRM experience is beneficial. + Organizational Skills: Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. + Mission-Driven: Genuine interest in supporting the goals of the nonprofit sector and helping communities thrive.
