Barista / Receptionist
Your Role
Gensler is looking for an experienced Barista/Receptionist to provide vital administrative support. This role provides support related to all administrative needs including calendar and schedule management, answering phones, travel arrangements, expenses and timesheets, meeting preparation and correspondence. You will be the face of our firm, managing front desk operations creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for all clients, team members, and guests at our office. This is an opportunity for a self-motivated, client experience-driven candidate to join our creative and high-performing office.
What You Will Do
Answer phones locally and internationally (Clients and Gensler staff from other offices)
Greet all visitors, offering assistance and providing refreshments as appropriate
Monitor conference room schedule, booking and updating as necessary
Order food for meetings
Maintain the aesthetic appearance of the recepection area (client ready)
Check office supplies (restock supply room as needed)
Assist with building maintenance issues and requests
Assist with handling FedEx, courier and other delivery needs
Coordinate errands as needed for the office
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3+ years’ experience in a barista role
Hands-on experience in beverage preparation (espresso, brewed coffee, teas, etc.)
Barista certification is a plus
Intermediate English level (spoken and written)
Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to keep matters confidential and possess a calm demeanor; capable of consistently maintaining a high level of composure and job focus
High level of professionalism; excellent written and verbal communications skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Adaptable; ability to anticipate needs
Effective priority and time management skills
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of management
Exceptional customer service skill
