The expectation of this role is to play a crucial role in ensuring that incoming materials, components, and supplies are handled efficiently, accurately and safely! Below are the responsibilities assigned to this position.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Lead and Direct Receiving Staff: Manage the receiving team to ensure accurate and timely processing of all inbound shipments, including overseeing the unloading of deliveries. Training and Performance Monitoring: Provide training and support to both new and existing team members, while monitoring performance and advancing issues to supervisors. Compliance and Safety: Ensure team adherence to safety procedures and company policies, including leading daily safety meetings. Documentation and Reporting: Verify incoming goods against POs and packing slips, document discrepancies, and generate receiving reports using tools like SAP. Inventory Management and Audits: Conduct regular audits of received inventory, support inventory accuracy and cycle counting efforts, and ensure proper labeling and routing of materials. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with procurement, quality, and production departments to align priorities and communicate any delays or issues in the receiving process. Process Improvement and Space Management: Identify process improvements, manage space for incoming shipments, maintain hot list for production parts, and ensure all parts are properly documented and stored. For This Role, You Will Need: High School education or equivalent experience or equivalent Proven experience in warehousing, supply chain or similar field Experience in a lean manufacturing environment Must be proficient with SAP. Able to run reports. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) Forklift certification preferred.
