Basic warehousing duties, including processing inbound receipts from both retail stores and outside vendors. Able to perform duties via manual documents or computerized devices in accordance with established operational and inventory control procedures. All associates will receive training to ensure mastery of specific skill sets with an emphasis on Safety, Accuracy, and Productivity.
Essential Responsibilities:
Comprehensive understanding of receiving documents, labels, computerized scanners, personal computers and printing devices.
Unload /move pallets, skids, boxes and containers using pallet jack or electric power lift.
Verify the amount of each item received, comparing this amount to the invoice or documents included with the shipment to ensure everything promised was received.
Input / scan stock items into computer using data base software.
Ability to meet or exceed established production goals.
Assist with training new hires and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Ability to communicate and escalate with peers and principles.
Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of all equipment, workstations and overall facility.
Practice and comply with all regulations promoting a safe and healthy work place environment.
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience & Background:
One (1) to three (3) years of related distribution experience preferred
Experience and sound proficiency with Island Pacific Merchandising and Warehousing System
Mastery and proficiency in use of personal computer and calculator
Mastery and proficiency in use of computerized scanning and printing devices
Working knowledge of basic warehousing duties and inventory control procedures
Strong knowledge and comprehension of established best practices
Excellent working knowledge of individual productivity measurement processes
Language Skills:
Ability to read English in order to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills:
General mathematical skills to include basic adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
