Real Estate Litigation & Transactional Attorney
Description We are looking for a skilled attorney to join an established law firm in Woodland Hills, California. This firm is well established, with over 20 years of success in various types of real estate litigation, real estate transactional matters (mostly HOA agreements), business litigation, and insurance bad faith litigation. This position is a hybrid litigation and transactional role. Responsibilities: • Manage real estate and business litigation cases from start to finish, including trial preparation. • Conduct contract reviews and address disputes related to Homeowners Associations (HOAs). • Handle both litigation and transactional matters, ensuring legal compliance and client satisfaction. • Lead discovery processes, including depositions and document reviews. • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and briefs to support case strategies. • Represent clients in court appearances and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance carriers. • Provide expert legal advice on contract law and modifications. • Collaborate with firm staff to maintain high standards of case management and client service. Requirements • Active license to practice law in the state of California. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, including trial preparation. • Proficiency in drafting motions, pleadings, and legal briefs. • Demonstrated expertise in discovery processes, including conducting and defending depositions. • Knowledge of contract law and experience in contract negotiation and modifications is a major plus. • Familiarity with Homeowners Association (HOA) law and related disputes is a major plus. • Excellent legal writing and analytical skills. • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively in a hybrid work setting.
