Job Description:

Associate role on the Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies (BREDS) Public Investments team, which is responsible for sourcing, analyzing, and executing real estate debt investments across public markets (CMBS, RMBS, corporates, and related) in the US and globally on behalf of various Blackstone Real Estate investment vehicles. The Associate will work on the CMBS investments team and will participate in and contribute to the investment process across the lifecycle of sourcing, underwriting, negotiating/structuring, transacting, surveilling, and portfolio/asset managing. Investment products span across all CMBS sectors and across the capital structure, from investment grade to high yield (including B-pieces/HRR/mezzanine loans).

Responsibilities

Sourcing, underwriting, negotiating/structuring, transacting, surveilling, and portfolio/asset managing real estate debt investments, with a focus on CMBS, across various product types and across the capital structureUnderwriting and analyzing real estate assets and markets for investments and portfolio managementConducting research on real estate-specific and macroeconomic topicsDevelopment of presentations, supporting analysis, and written materials for investment recommendationsCollaborating with team members across broader Blackstone Real Estate (equity, debt, capital markets, etc.) to carry out investment processes and analysisCommunicating ideas, views, and color with internal stakeholders and liaising and negotiating with external counterparties

Qualifications:

Expected annual base salary range:

$140,000 - $160,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
