Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Cybersecurity, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection on embedded weapons systems. This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's qualifications and standing as outlined below: (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Sophomore by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship. This is an onsite role in Marlborough, MA **What You Will Do** + Supporting the development of cybersecurity / anti-tamper requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and policies + Defining security development and test efforts implementation of security controls of networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software component + Understanding and integrating cybersecurity development activities + Performing analysis on cybersecurity collected data and test results + Conducting technical and nontechnical trade studies + Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using + DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as ACAS, STIG, SCAP Compliance Checker, and HBSS + Apply written and oral communication skills + Participate in the design and development of systems **Qualifications You Must Have** + Must be pursuing a BS (or higher) degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, Math, Engineering Science, Robotics, or related scientific or STEM discipline + Matlab and/or C++ experience + This position is for a Co-op who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Fall 2025. + Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
