At Mars, we are on the lookout for a dedicated Global Raw Material Expert to join our innovative Raws & Packs Material team. This position allows you to deepen your expertise in raw materials while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, all while driving innovation and sustainability within Mars.
What will be your key responsibilities?Create, Review, and manage materials of their set portfolio end to end. Including ideation, MRA and Raw material specifications, this would be in close collaboration with relevant experts (e.g. Q&FS, PPPI, PD, SQA etc.) identifying and managing Food Safety, Quality, Legal, Lifestyle, and Sensory hazards for Material, Supplier and Transport & Storage. Applies knowledge of food ingredient stability and quality to evaluate their interactions and the impact on finished products.Maintain relevant systems and databases relevant to material management (Product Information Sheets, Supplier specifications, technical datasheets etc) using Nexus, SalesForce Veritas, Sharepoint and Microsoft Teams.Support the Mars Food Value Leadership agenda and Business Continuity by supporting in new opportunities involving material changes and potential future novel ingredients.Track and review progress of RA’s and Specifications within the regions to ensure timely execution and progress of the outputs. Ensures effective change management in Raw materials within the portfolio including systems, legal, quality and food safety etc.. parameters.What are we looking for?Science based degree (i.e. Food science, Food technology, Engineering or Science). Minimum of 1-2 years relevant industry experience.
