In addition, this role provides a great opportunity to be exposed to a range of markets and asset types; it encompasses compelling analytical expertise and effective management skills. **Responsibilities:** + Manage a portfolio of Infrastructure and Project Finance credits. + Perform basic fundamental credit analysis, forecasting, and industry analysis. + Manage client relationships and the full life cycle of their ratings. + With the mentorship of senior analysts, you will work closely with the sector team on its ongoing surveillance of a portfolio of rated issuers. + As a high performing team member, you are likely to be considered for providing support on more complex issuers and transactions. + Provide input to financial models and written analysis used for committee reviews and external publications. Maintain a centralized source of news information, including digital media, and carries out research for monitoring of the industry including examining corporate or municipal financial information. + Support the team in spreadsheet and database development, maintenance, and analytics which includes extracting financial and economic data from source materials and inputting into group/company applications and performing financial modeling. + Drive continuous innovation and great customer service. **What We’re Looking For:** **Basic Required Qualifications:** + An S&P Global employee typically has 2 years of applicable experience in Credit Analysis, Fixed Income, Risk, or another related field. + Demonstrated knowledge or experience with Infrastructure and Project Finance is preferred. + A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related subject. + Strong analytical skills with an understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting concepts. + Must be able to quickly absorb, analyze, and act upon information, while demonstrating strong proficiency with quantitative data. + Strong communication skills ( verbal and written) are required. + Aptitude for expanding, learning, and passion for contributing. + Must be highly organized with the ability to multitask, manage competing priorities, and work under time pressure to meet deadlines. + Strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint and database application skills is required. + Must be fluent in English and Spanish. Portuguese language skills are highly desirable. **Preferred Qualifications:** + An advanced degree or CFA is strongly preferred. + Strong proficiency with VBA, financial models and financial data. + Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C++, MATLAB, Python, R or VBA). + Prior experience with data analysis.
