Position Description
The Rare Diseases Marketing and Medical Senior Director will be in charge of leading the development and support the implementation of Rare Disease strategies across Latin America.
Build and align comprehensive commercial and medical strategies to drive the growth of the Rare Disease portfolio, ensuring seamless execution of commercial and medical initiatives for the expanding the portfolio.
Key responsibilities:
Own the Rare Disease therapy area, including P&L management and strategy development, leading cross-functional LATAM teams to build strategic approaches and action plans for Rare Disease. Represent LATAM in Global, IO, and regional CBTs, ensuring alignment and effective communication. Identify business and product opportunities within the region through market analysis and drive the execution of initiatives focused on process implementation across affiliates. Provide marketing and medical insights for business discussions and align global teams with affiliates, supporting the launch process in TAs, ensuring proper planning and execution of strategic plans. Provide decision support to LATAM management and the VP of Marketing and Medical.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, Engineering, or any related area, with a cross-functional educational background or post graduate (e.g. Finance / Marketing, Strategy / Sales/ Medical). Strong experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on Commercial areas and transfunctional knowledge in Access, Medical, Clinical or marketing areas. Proven experience as a people manager, leading teams. Fluency in English. Strong experience in rare diseases, oncology, or haematology is highly preferred. Knowledge in the LATAM healthcare market and government landscape is an asset.
