Reporting to the Director of the ICU/IMC, the RN Emergency Responder/Rapid Response Nurse responds to emergencies and assumes the role of primary nurse for the duration of the emergency and is responsible for direct and indirect care of the patient during the crisis period.Responsibilities include:
Supports bedside RNs in management of patients requiring concentrated nursing care.Effectively communicates complex and comprehensive information thoroughly and succinctly. Identifies and communicates variances from patient goals.Expertly negotiates challenges or complexities in care delivery, providing and coordinating interdisciplinary patient care utilizing the nursing process.Mentoring staff in the application of the nursing process to plan manage the care of patients with complex biopsychcosociospirtual needsProviding clinical teaching, supervision and directing appropriate care in the management of the clinically unstable patient or patient in crisis.Improving patient outcomes through application of evidence-based findings to help manage the complex patient by identifying early and escalating prior to crisisProactively identifying areas of concern and collaborate with the health care team to problem solve and find solutions.What you will need
Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program; professional nursing degree of BSN or MSN required.Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.BLS & ACLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)Minimum of 4 years of critical care experiencePay Range: $39.04 – 58.56
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
